Let your AI app design in your open Brayer tab.
Connect AI links Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP apps to the studio you have open. You ask for a design in the chat; the app builds it in your tab while you watch, and every change can be undone. It's free while in beta.

What Connect AI does
Your AI app reads the design open in the studio and edits it with the editor's own operations: device frames and 3D devices, 3D products, print surfaces, text, shapes, pages, brand styles, artwork variants and campaign sets. It checks rendered previews as it works and can export files to your Downloads. Each change it makes is one Ctrl or ⌘ + Z, so you can step back or take over at any point.
The studio itself needs no account. Connect AI needs a free Brayer account, so the connection is tied to you and can be switched off. Exports follow the same Free and Pro rules as the studio's own export dialog.
Add Brayer to your AI app
Brayer's connector is a remote MCP server at https://usebrayer.com/mcp, using Streamable HTTP. The first time your app connects, it opens a Brayer sign-in and asks you to approve the app. You can see and remove approved apps on your account page.
| App | Where to add it | What to enter |
|---|---|---|
| Claude | Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector | https://usebrayer.com/mcp |
| ChatGPT | Plugins › + › Add custom MCP server | The same URL, with OAuth sign-in |
| Claude Code | A terminal, once | claude mcp add --transport http brayer https://usebrayer.com/mcp |
| Cursor and others | Add a remote MCP server | The same URL |
Turn on Connect AI in the studio
Open the studio at usebrayer.com/studio and sign in. Select Connect AI (the plug icon) in the top bar and switch on "Let AI apps edit this tab". The panel shows the link's status and the AI app's last action.
Keep that tab open; it can sit in the background. If Connect AI is on in more than one tab, the one you focused last takes the commands.
Ask for a design
Describe the result you want, including where it's going: "Make App Store screenshots from my screenshot in three languages", or "Put my logo on business cards and a letterhead, then export them". The app can open Brayer's scenes, build from scratch, check previews and fix what it sees.
Images attached to the chat can't reach the connector. When the design needs your screenshot or logo, the app asks you to drop it into the Brayer tab, or imports it from a public URL you give it.
What the AI app can and can't see
While Connect AI is on, an app you approved can read and edit the design open in that tab, render previews and export files. It can't open your other designs or touch your account. Previews and design details go to the AI app you connected, under that provider's terms; Brayer doesn't keep the previews.
Switching Connect AI off, closing the tab or disconnecting the app on your account page stops it. Requests are limited to 300 an hour per account. The privacy policy has the details.
