FROM SCREENSHOT TO LAUNCH
Every App Store screenshot size, and the ones you must upload.
Apple's screenshot specifications list dozens of sizes, but a submission needs only a few of them. The short answer comes first; the full tables follow, for when you want screenshots made for a particular device. Every figure here comes from Apple's pages, read on 15 October 2026.

The short answer, checked 15 October 2026
iPhone: at least one screenshot for iPhone with Dynamic Island (medium display), the size Apple's list of required sizes names. That is 1206 × 2622 or 1179 × 2556 pixels in portrait, or 2622 × 1206 or 2556 × 1179 in landscape.
iPad: if your app runs on iPad, at least one screenshot for the 13-inch display, 2064 × 2752 or 2048 × 2732 in portrait (2752 × 2064 or 2732 × 2048 in landscape).
Mac: Mac apps need one of four 16:10 sizes, 1280 × 800, 1440 × 900, 2560 × 1600 or 2880 × 1800. Apple TV, Apple Vision Pro and Apple Watch apps each need their own set, listed below.
iPhone Duo: Apple lists an outer display size (1398 × 2034) and an inner display size (2007 × 2853). From April 2027, iPhone Duo screenshots will be required for apps using the iOS 27.1 SDK or later.
iPhone screenshot sizes
Apple groups iPhones by display, in the order below. Each row says what Apple requires and, where it gives one, which set it scales down when you don't upload that size. One wrinkle: the iPhone with Face ID (large display) row says it's required when no large Dynamic Island set is provided, which the required-sizes list at the top of Apple's page doesn't repeat. If App Store Connect asks you for a large-display set, add one of the large Dynamic Island sizes, such as 1320 × 2868.

iPhone Duo screenshot sizes
iPhone Duo is available from 23 October 2026, and Apple published its screenshot sizes on 5 October. Apple's announcement says that from April 2027, apps and games submitted will need iPhone Duo screenshots; the specifications page words it as required for any app using the iOS 27.1 SDK or later. Uploading them now also earns your product page a badge saying the app is optimised for iPhone Duo.

Mac, Apple TV, Apple Vision Pro and Apple Watch
Each of these is needed only for an app built for that platform: a Mac, Apple TV, visionOS or watchOS app. Apple Watch apps can use any of the six Watch sizes, but must use the same size in every localization.

Rules that apply to every set
Upload at least one and up to 10 screenshots per device size, as .jpeg, .jpg or .png files. Images can't include alpha channels or transparencies, so export with an opaque background; a JPEG never carries one.
If your app's interface is the same across device sizes and localizations, you only need screenshots at the highest required resolution, and App Store Connect scales them down for smaller devices. Upload a size's own set when you want it tailored. Every screenshot must follow the App Store Review Guidelines.
What changed in October 2026
On 5 October 2026 Apple told developers that iPhone Duo is available from 23 October, published screenshot and app preview specifications for it, and said iPhone Duo screenshots become required from April 2027. The same announcement introduced product page headers and search result assets, which are separate from screenshots and not covered here.
When we read Apple's specifications page on 15 October 2026, its list of required sizes named iPhone with Dynamic Island (medium display), and its iPhone tables included iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Brayer's own guides, checked on 22 September 2026, pointed to the 6.9-inch size; we corrected them on 15 October.
Making the set in Brayer
Preparing several languages? Follow the screenshot-localization walkthrough to keep one layout, change the headline and app capture for each language, and export the English, Spanish and German versions.
Brayer has App Store presets for iPhone 6.3″ (1206 × 2622, in Apple's required set), iPhone 6.9″, iPhone Duo outer and inner, iPad 13″ and Mac, with landscape versions of the iPhone, iPhone Duo and iPad sizes. Pick one from the Apple section of the canvas Output preset in Full editor, the export dialog or Sizes; the command palette's Resize to… commands (Ctrl or ⌘ + K) do the same. For any other size, enter its width and height in Sizes. The free App Store iPhone scene starts at 1206 × 2622, so a first set needs no resizing at all.
Every Brayer store preset fits Free, which exports PNG or JPEG up to 3,000 px on the long side with no watermark and no account. Apple TV's 3840 × 2160 and Apple Vision Pro's only size, 3840 × 2160, are above that limit, so exporting them is Pro. A page made at 1320 × 2868 becomes 1206 × 2622 with Sizes and Layout set to Fit, because the two shapes are almost identical. Brayer has no iPhone Duo device frame; the Duo presets give you the canvas for your own Duo captures and headlines.
Apple sizes and Brayer's presets, checked 15 October 2026. Free exports reach 3,000 px on the long side.
| Apple size | Brayer preset | Free export |

| 1398 × 2034, iPhone Duo outer display | iPhone Duo outer, and iPhone Duo outer landscape | Yes |
| 2007 × 2853, iPhone Duo inner display | iPhone Duo inner, and iPhone Duo inner landscape | Yes |
| 2064 × 2752, iPad 13-inch | iPad 13″, and iPad 13″ landscape | Yes |
| 2880 × 1800, Mac | Mac | Yes |
| Every other iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch size, and Apple TV 1920 × 1080 | None: enter the width and height in Sizes | Yes, all under 3,000 px |
| 3840 × 2160, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro | None: enter the width and height in Sizes | No: over 3,000 px, so a Pro export |
